Here on a saturday. Started my 18 hole round at 3:42 and ended around 7:15. Course is in great shape as always but the pace of play is excruciatingly slow. Between groups taking forever to clear greens and people walking their dogs off leash on the second and ninth hole. At one point we had three groups on the tee box, one on the fairway and one on the green. I saw the ranger but guess he must have been out for a drive and not to speed things up.
Played here after a long week of rain. Course was in great shape all things considered. While I was here on this specific day the greens were fast enough things puts weren’t coming up short, however not much roll if you smoke it onto the green. Fairways were quite soft in some places but it made me make sure that I followed through.
For the casual golfer/someone looking to pick up the game, it’s perfect. Great atmosphere among the staff, and decent practice areas (putting green and driving net).
It lacks any true par 5s, but the constant presence of water challenges you to shoot straight. Even a small slice can be costly.
Worth the price.
