Eagle Crest Golf Club offers a spectacular setting that abounds with natural beauty. In addition to the wildlife preserve that winds through secluded San Pasqual Valley, this 18-hole par-72 course incorporates wildflowers, waterfalls and eight lakes into a challenging, striking design, quickly branding Eagle Crest as San Diego’s best-kept secret.
Avoid this golf course. It's not in playing condition, and the experience was made worse by an overly aggressive marshal who shadowed us for multiple holes. Our pre-ordered food for the turn caused a 15-minute delay, yet we were still lectured about being two holes behind, despite the group behind us never being held back. We were even rushed by the cart girl when trying to order drinks. This course offers poor value and a frustrating experience. STAY AWAY!

The course is dry and ugly. It starts in the parking lot and the trailer of a club house. The greens are diseased and have crab grass everywhere. They are as slow as anything I’ve ever putted on. The only thing there slower than the greens is the service in the bar area. They charge over $100 for a course I wouldn’t want to play for free. JC has their work cut out for them here. My guess is they’ll walk away from this shit hole in 6-12 months because it’s not worth saving.

The layout was always so pretty but the conditions were horrible for so long. The renovation was great and it’s well on its way to being the gem it always had potential to be.
Still needs a new clubhouse and driving range and fairways are still in process, but greens are great and staff is uber friendly.
