Love this course!

Overall, I quite enjoyed this course. About ten minutes from its neighbor, Kokopelli, which I reviewed last week if you missed it and for a 35 dollar tee time, why would anyone go there over Western skies? Western skies gets all of the par 3 and par 5 holes out of the way at the beginning so if you play like me, lock the hell in at the range or you’ll put yourself in a hole. Greens are surprisingly fast despite looks and other than the surprise water at about 250 on 18, what u see is what u get

The pace of play at 7 am in the summertime is the most attractive feature of playing Western Skies

Got chirped at by a bunch of local retirees, whose wives were all waiting in the pro shop, for playing too slow. It’s ridiculous because we finished the round well within 4 hrs and they were playing from the women’s tees while we played the blues. Can only imagine that’s the norm here. Every hole was a straight shot that punished long drivers and catered to those retired asshole types. This course belongs in a retirement community. Very disappointed especially because we paid $96 for the round…
