I love municipal golf courses, but I found this one rather boring. Raton country club, just on the other side of the border is a much more interesting nine hole course. If you're in the area, go there instead. At Trinidad the greens are all flat ovals. The bunkers are unnecessary. All the holes are highway straight. 7/16 is a cool uphill par three with a slanted fairway and an original stone staircase. 8/17 is it cool elevated tea shot through a narrow hole between the trees.
