What a wonderful course, especially considering it’s a public course with an enormous amount of play.
Right now, mid-October, the course is in the best shape I’ve ever seen it. Since the fairways are Bermuda grass, they do thin out in the winter and grow back in the spring, but they’re still playable, and by the middle of June they’re usually excellent. The greens are always exceptional, and they’ve re-done a number of tees with a different type of grass, and from what I’m told they will redo a
Solid course overall, everything is in pretty good shape. Some tee boxes are currently being fixed up and they’re looking a lot nicer. Greens are currently aerated and sanded but putting is still manageable. Fun layout, lots of blind approach shots, par 3’s were fun too.
