Highlands is probably as close as you can get to links-style golf in Eastern Nebraska. The course isn't too difficult but there are some well placed hazards.

Highlands is awesome! It is very well kept, offers a range of tee boxes to choose the right challenge and is absolutely gorgeous throughout. It is definitely the best public course in Lincoln. The greens are pretty quick and aren’t very receptive to spin on chips, but this makes for a unique challenge.

They were pretty backed up on a Sunday afternoon. But the course was fun. Played all 18 with a buddy and 2 match ups. Shot one of my best 18 hole scores. The greens are pretty difficult. But other than that it’s a very good course to play! Very open!
