Bandon Crossings is a Heathland golf course like the great British courses. They have light sandy, acidic soil; typically have heather, gorse and bracken; are near, but not on, the ocean; and are a little hillier than many pure links courses. There are few flat spots on Bandon Crossings golf course. Like the seaside courses, the land was formed by the wind and the sand. There are many natural crossings that are both exciting and challenging.
