I have played here several times prior and it is always in top condition. That being said, today the greens had been sanded and scarified which made them about as forgiving to land on as the car park. This accompanied by burnt fairways made today a real struggle. This is not the courses fault and is not a reflection of what is normally a stunning course, just bad luck on booking it when they have to do the mandatory course maintenance and warm weather damage.

Don’t know what it is with Ruddington but the pace of play must be some of the slowest I have ever come across.
Course is currently very dry and greens aren’t holding coupled with green speeds that are not as consistent as I have been used to
Overall the dryness is making it tough because it’s a lot of bad bounces and just running out of fairway
