A mixed experience - on visit the greens were being maintained and it was reduced price for us to play which is why we went for a round - the course overall was reasonable “boring” there was no exciting views and every hole was an almost straight line with a few minor doglegs - suits a new golfer like myself however seems expensive for the full price.
A few smaller touches is nice like the track man range for warm up, the air compressor to clean off which was needed on our day! Overall meh.
The Chase Cannock Golf Course is clean & well-maintained, with friendly staff & a welcoming atmosphere. Facilities like the air compressor at the 18th hole & a mobile food van at the 9th are convenient & a nice touch.
The course is straightforward, with long, flat holes & minimal visual features, which may not appeal to those seeking variety. Fairways are straight & open. It felt somewhat overpriced for visitors/membership?
It's ideal for mid to high handicappers who prefer a forgiving layout.
Love this course, granted it’s my local but for me it’s the better of the several within a few miles! Fairly straight and moderately long so people who are accurate down the center will score well, but it’s forgiving enough that if you’re wayward with your drives , on most holes, it’s not going to be OB! Staff are always helpful and polite, the pro shop is more than up to expectations and £30 a round in the summer can’t be sniffed at. The range could do with an update or modernising with launch monitors if I was being picky, but will more than do for warming up pre-round (and there are rumours of it happening soon 🤞🏻) the chipping area and putting green are both better than most in the area.
