Awful quality

Poorly maintained fairways on a number of the early holes. Lead to lost balls that were straight off the tee-box where they should have been easily found. Not helped by wet ground conditions, but if maintained better before poor weather I don’t think it would have been quite so bad.

Was a nice challenge, even suitable for a beginner. The greens were a little slow and had some grass cuttings and things that affected the ball. Fairways were quite long which made it difficult to find balls, especially when the same colour as leaves all over the floor. Also litter in places (beer cans etc). Good value only when discounted.

Used to play this guy in the 1990s. It’s now a really lovely course with mature trees and great greens. The fairways were hard when I played in June, so factor in extra runout. There are a couple of holes where the trees overhang too much, leaving too small a target to be able to score. But all in all I like playing this course. And twilight at gbp25 can’t be beat!
