We’re excited to announce that 18Birdies was the live scoring app for the Workday Silicon Valley Challenge at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto. The Workday Silicon Valley Challenge utilized Tournament+ to provide its notable participants with a brand new experience on the course and added to the competition with live scoring and leaderboards.
The Workday Silicon Valley Challenge gives amateurs the opportunity to compete like the pros for the day! After the conclusion of the tournament, teams compete in a competitive televised shoot-out with the winning team awarded $100,000 to the charity of their choice. In addition, 18Birdies contributed $18,000 to a Skins competition where the winning skins were able to contribute to a charity of their choice.
The Workday Silicon Valley Challenge was an exclusive tournament and hosted over 120 participants including Condoleeza Rice, Mary Meeker and Jimmy Connors. Erik van Dillen, Silicon Valley Challenge Tournament Director, stated, “18Birdies was so positively received that players found themselves no longer using their scorecards as much, because of the ease of use and reliability.”
