About the Role:
We’re looking for a Design Director to lead and elevate our global product design team. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and company leadership to shape the future of our app, grow and mentor our design team, and evolve our design systems and processes as we scale.
You’re a strong communicator, a systems thinker, and a builder at heart — someone who can guide a team from 0 to 1 explorations to polished, shipped experiences. You understand what great design looks like and how to get there — balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a distributed design team through clear communication, coaching, and design feedback
- Partner closely with product and engineering leadership to set the product vision, influence roadmap decisions, and define success
- Help drive design quality and consistency across our app by evolving and maintaining our design system
- Foster a collaborative, empowered design culture that values curiosity, craft, and iteration
- Represent design at the leadership level, bringing user-centered thinking into company-wide conversations
- Roll up your sleeves when needed — from strategic thinking to detailed designs
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years in a design leadership role
- A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, consumer-facing mobile app design work — from end-to-end user flows to polished visual execution
- Experience managing and mentoring designers, including remote and international team members
- A track record of building and scaling design systems
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Exceptional proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in startup environments — you know how to move fast and scale thoughtfully
- Strong product thinking and ability to align design vision with user and business goals
- Empathy for users and teammates — and a desire to build for inclusivity and accessibility
