Editor's Note: Yes, winter is here. But that's no excuse to start slacking on your game improvement! In order to keep your golf game up to par (or below if you put the practice in!) during the winter months, we've put together a series of exercises and stretches to improve your mental, physical, and strategic parts of your game. Make sure you check back every week for the next set of drills, so you can continue to get better, even if you’re not on the course or the range.

When swinging a golf club, your backswing is started independent of the lower body. Without an understanding of this separation of upper body mobility with lower body stability, it will be hard to understand your efficiency in your swing. In this video, Trevor Anderson walks you through a series of exercises designed to improve upper body mobility and prepare you for rotation in your backswing. If you do these exercises regularly, it will become easier to get to the top of your back swing while maintaining grounded. You'll find that you'll become more deliberate and dynamic on the downswing.

Do this and the other four exercises in this series 2-3 times per week to improve your game while the temperatures drop and the snow covers the course. Check out the other videos in this series below-
