Rory McIlroy and Jason Day chose not to participate in Rio, but Rory did end up tuning in, even congratulating Justin Rose on his Olympic Gold after the fact. Jason Day, however, only watched the final hole of the men’s competition but did give a few words of encouragement on the return of golf to the Olympic stage.
