Fantasy Golf on DraftKings - Travelers Championship

Lock of the week:

Marc Leishman $9,300 - Leishman is a former winner at TPC River Highlands back in 2012. His consistency also shows year-by-year as he's never missed the cut in the past five years at this event, and has posted three Top-25 finishes. He stands as one of the best in the field recently in SG: Off the Tee and SG: Approach and is coming off some solid golf with a T27 at Erin Hills and a T15 at Memorial. Leishman loves this golf course and should be a lock in cash and GPP contests on DraftKings.

Value Plays:

Charley Hoffman $7,300 - This is a stupid good value for an all around ball striker that scores a bunch of birdies when he’s on. TPC River Highlands has proven to be an easy course relative to other tracks on the PGA Tour, so we will see guys go low. For a player like Charley, he can go as low as anyone when he gets hot. He has already racked up three Top 10's this season including an 8th place finish at Erin Hills last week. Charley is one of the best in the field when it comes to Par 4 scoring and SG: Off the Tee and will be popular in GPPs, and he’s a lock in cash games on DraftKings.

Graham DeLaet $7,100 - Delaet is coming off a couple weeks rest having not played since his T10 at the Memorial. He's had a strong season in 2017 thus far, posting three Top-10's and ranks high in the field in SG: Off the Tee and SG: Approach. The Canadian pro may go a little under the radar in this range with a lot of GPP ownership going to Byeong Hun An, William McGirt, and Webb Simpson. We like taking a leap on Graham in GPP tournaments on DraftKings.

Webb Simpson $6,900 - Webb isn’t racking up T10s this season (two Top 10 finishes), but he’s making cuts. We were shocked to see the T35 at Erin Hills given the difficult putting surfaces along with Webb’s horrible putter. He’s a fantastic ball striker, especially from the fairways and he’s also been scoring birdies at a higher rate than usual. At $6,900, he’s a great cash game option and will likely be worth a play in GPPs. Webb is not known to be a bomber on tour and this is a track where he can pound greens from the fairway.

Best bargain basement option:

Lucas Glover $6,600 - Other than last week for the US Open in a stacked field, this is the lowest price we’ve seen for Glover since the beginning of March. This is a good bargain even though he’s coming off a missed cut at Erin Hills. Lucas barely missed playing the weekend by one stroke and he’s still one of the greatest ball strikers on the PGA Tour. His results still display his good golf this year with a T7 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and a T6 at The PLAYERS Championship. The greens here at TPC River Highlands are fairly slow and that should help Lucas since he’s a dreadful putter. He also may go a little under-owned in GPP’s after the missed cut last week.

Player to avoid:

Brian Harman $8,900 - Has anyone ever looked more dejected after realizing he couldn’t win the US Open than Harman when he looked up and saw Brooks slamming the door on his chances? Man, he looked mentally exhausted. Combine that with the $8,900 price tag is enough reason to hop off of Harman. He’ll likely be popular in GPP contests, but it’s not worth the play at that price for a chalky Brian Harman. Harman is just not THAT good. He does fit from a course fit perspective, but when it comes to avoiding players, you’ve got to take a stand on some more popular names in order to set your lineups apart.
