Golf is a game we all love, but let's be honest—it can feel like a grind sometimes. Every shot matters, and one bad swing can throw off your whole round. You want to play your best, but sometimes the pressure to perform makes it tough to relax and just enjoy the game.
We get it. That's exactly why we built Scramble Mode in 18Birdies. It's a new scoring mode that puts the focus back on fun, teamwork, and great golf with friends.
Scramble Mode is golf at its most relaxed and most fun. Every good shot gives you something to celebrate, and the tough ones are just part of the ride. Play with friends and feed off each other's best swings, or go solo and enjoy a pressure-free round that's all about having fun.
What Is a Scramble Round?
A Scramble is one of golf's most popular team formats. Here's how it works:
- Everyone tees off.
- The team picks the best shot.
- All players move their balls to that spot and hit again.
- Repeat until the ball is holed.
It's simple, fast-paced, and full of camaraderie. One player might bomb drives, another might drain putts, and together you build the best score possible.
Scrambles are common in charity events, corporate outings, and weekend games where the focus is on fun, not just your scorecard. If your tee shot goes wide, no problem—your teammate's perfect shot keeps the team rolling.
Playing Solo? You can even play a single-person Scramble in 18Birdies. Play two balls, test different shot strategies, or just enjoy a casual round without it counting toward your handicap.
Why Golfers Love Scramble Mode
Scramble Mode lets you play the game with less pressure and more connection. You'll learn from teammates, celebrate their great shots, and share the fun.
It's the perfect way to:
- Mix up your weekend rounds
- Bring new players into the game
- Host charity or friendly events
- Build confidence without worrying about every shot
And because Scramble rounds don't count toward your handicap or scoring goals, you can focus purely on enjoying the day.
