AI Swing Analyzer, refreshed. Clearer insights. Smarter practice.
Your swing feels better. But what actually changed? A setup adjustment might be sticking, or your backswing might be getting steadier. Without looking across several swings, it is hard to tell which changes are lasting and what still needs work.
The AI Swing Analyzer refresh brings that bigger picture forward. See Setup, Backswing, and Impact across your last five analyses, find a Top Priority, and open a practice plan built around your findings. Easier recording and clearer results help you move from seeing the issue to working on it.
AI Swing Analyzer is included with 18Birdies Premium. This refresh is available on iOS only.
What's New
Five changes, all of them aimed at the same thing: less time fighting your phone, more time knowing what to work on.
Record a set, pick your swing
Take several swings in a row, then choose the one you want analyzed. Detection and trimming happen automatically.
Swing Improvement Trend
See Setup, Backswing, and Impact tracked across your last five analyses, with an average score for the set.
A sharper Top Priority
Your top priority now reads your recent swings, not just your last one, so one odd rep does not send you chasing the wrong fix.
Practice plans in reach
Every plan is a couple of taps away, built around Get the Feel and Make it Real, with fitness drills and stretches alongside.
Past analyses, easy to find
Pull up an older swing and compare it against a recent one without digging backward through the app.

Your Swing, Across Your Last Five Analyses
Open the AI Swing Analyzer now and the first thing you see is your Swing Improvement Trend. It splits your swing into the three phases that decide most of what happens to the golf ball, and it shows how each one has held up across your recent analyses.
Setup covers the athletic stance that gives your body room to turn. Backswing covers how you load and where the club goes. Impact covers the moment your energy actually meets the ball. Each phase breaks down into the individual checks underneath it, so a flag on Backswing becomes something specific: spine angle, head movement, hip depth, hip rotation, lead arm.
Above all of it sits your average score across your last five swings and a running count of how many you have analyzed. One analysis is a data point. Five is a pattern, and a pattern is the thing that tells you whether the work is working.

One Place to Start
Your analysis gives you the full picture. Top Priority gives you a place to begin: one finding from your recent swings, labeled with how often it has appeared.

Understand the finding before you practice
Open your Top Priority to read the explanation and compare your swing with a coach’s. Seeing the two together helps you understand the movement you are being asked to work on.
In our example, backswing butt position is flagged in four of five analyses. You would review that finding, look at the coach comparison, and open the relevant practice plan. Your own results will determine where you start.

From the Fault to the Fix
Every priority opens into a Personalized Practice Plan, and the plan runs in an order that matches how people actually change a swing.
Get the Feel comes first. It is a short drill you can do in a hotel room or your living room, no club needed, and it exists to teach your body the movement before you ask it to do that movement at full speed. Make it Real is the range version, where you take that feel into an actual swing with a ball in front of you. Fitness drills and stretches sit underneath both, covering the mobility side of a fault, because plenty of swing problems are a range-of-motion problem wearing a disguise.
More practice plans are browsable now instead of buried, so if you want to work on something other than your flagged priority you can set any plan as your current one.
- Get the Feel Practice the movement without a club, at home or wherever you have a few minutes. Build familiarity before taking it to the range.
- Make it Real Take that movement to the range and practice it in a full swing with a ball.
From your practice plan, open Instant Swing Playback directly to record a rep and watch it back as you practice. Then analyze another swing to see whether the movement you have been working on is changing.
How to Run Your First Analysis
- Open the Improve tab and tap AI Swing Analyzer.
- Record a set of swings from Face On or Down the Line, or upload a video you already have.
- Pick the swing you want from the strip on the Select Swing screen, then tap Analyze Swing.
- Read your breakdown by phase, then open your Top Priority.
- Start the practice plan. Get the Feel first, then Make it Real at the range.

Come Back to Your Earlier Swings
Past analyses are easier to find, so you can return to an earlier swing and compare it with a recent one. After working through a practice plan, analyze again and look for changes in the same checks you were practicing.

What's new in the AI Swing Analyzer?
The refresh adds multi-swing recording with automatic trimming, a Swing Improvement Trend that tracks Setup, Backswing, and Impact across your last five analyses, a Top Priority drawn from your recent swings, easier access to every practice plan, and a direct path into Instant Swing Playback from any plan. Past analyses are also easier to find and compare.
Is the AI Swing Analyzer free?
No. AI Swing Analyzer is included with 18Birdies Premium. This refresh is available on iOS only.
How many swings do I need before I see a trend?
The trend fills in as you analyze more swings, showing results across your last five analyses so you can look for recurring findings and changes over time.
Can I record several swings at once?
Yes, on iOS. Record a set, then pick the one you want from the Select Swing screen. Trimming happens automatically. You can also upload a single swing you already recorded.
What angle should I record from?
Face On or Down the Line. Each one checks for different things, so recording both over time gives you a more complete read on your swing.
What is a Top Priority?
It's the single swing fault worth your attention right now, pulled from your recent analyses and labeled with how often it has appeared. It comes with an explanation, a coach comparison, and a practice plan built for it.
What's the difference between Get the Feel and Make it Real?
Get the Feel is a short drill you can do anywhere without a club, meant to teach your body the movement. Make it Real takes that same movement to the range and into a full swing.
How does the AI Swing Analyzer work with Instant Swing Playback?
Every practice plan links directly to Instant Swing Playback so you can record a rep and watch it back as you practice. Analyze another swing afterward to check how your results are changing.
